Diagnostic & Electronic Capabilities
We service Cummins, Caterpillar, Detroit, Powerstroke, Duramax, Isuzu, Kubota, and John Deere diesel platforms on-site.
Forced DPF Regenerations
When machines idle excessively on job sites, soot accumulates and triggers power derates. We initiate stationary forced DPF burns on-site, monitor exhaust temps, and verify soot load reset.
- Differential pressure sensor verification
- DEF doser valve and injector inspection
- Soot load calculations and reset procedures
Live Data Parameter Monitoring
We don't just clear trouble codes—we examine freeze frame data, fuel rail pressures, boost pressures, VGT actuator movement, and coolant temperature readouts while under operational load.
- Common rail high-pressure fuel monitoring
- Turbo boost & actuator calibration testing
- Crankshaft / camshaft position correlation
Wiring Harness & Short Isolation
Vibration and exposure cause chafed harnesses, corroded cannon plugs, intermittent CAN bus communication drops, and blown relays. We probe circuits to isolate opens and shorts accurately.
- 5V sensor reference voltage drops
- CAN bus resistance & communication errors
- Bad chassis grounds & phantom draws
No-Start & Cranking Troubleshooting
Equipment that cranks without firing or won't turn over at all. We test high-torque starters, heavy-duty battery banks, alternator charging output, fuel lift pumps, and fuel line air leaks on-site.
- Commercial jump starting (12V & 24V banks)
- Fuel filter priming & air-lock clearing
- Key switch, ignition relay & starter solenoid tests
What to Do When Your Diesel Derates
If your equipment has dropped into derate mode (RPM limited or hydraulic speed reduced), continuing to run it under full load can cause severe thermal damage or ruin an expensive DPF filter.
1. Take a Photo
Snap a picture of the instrument cluster showing active dash icons, warning text, or code numbers.
2. Safe Location
Move the machine to a stable, flat area on the job site or yard away from active traffic.
3. Text Zach
Send the photo, machine make/model, and job site location directly to (606) 350-8815 for direct scheduling.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you perform forced DPF regens on non-highway machinery? expand_more
Yes! We run forced regens on excavators, skid steers, wheel loaders, tractors, and work trucks equipped with Tier 4 Final emissions systems.
Do you service highway trucks broken down on I-75? expand_more
For safety and quality standards, we do not work on active highway or interstate shoulders. If your truck is towed to a safe parking lot, yard, or shop in the London area, we can come directly there to run diagnostics and perform repairs.
What happens after the diagnosis is complete? expand_more
Zach explains the diagnostic findings clearly, discusses part options, and provides a realistic plan to complete the mechanical repair on-site.
