Field Hydraulic Services
From auxiliary leaks to main pump pressure failures on excavators, loaders, tractors, and lifts.
Cylinder Repacking & Seal Replacement
Boom, stick, bucket, outrigger, and steering cylinders that leak or drift under load. We pull cylinder assemblies on-site, inspect rods for pitting or scoring, and install new heavy-duty seal kits.
- Gland nut removal and internal inspection
- Piston seal, wiper seal & O-ring replacement
- Testing for internal bypass and cylinder drift
Hydraulic Leak Isolation & Plumbing
Chafed lines, cracked hard lines, weeping flange connections, and blown high-pressure hoses. We trace hydraulic leaks under pressure and route lines properly to prevent future abrasion.
- High-pressure hose identification and replacement
- Hardline flare & compression fitting repairs
- Quick-disconnect coupling inspection & cleaning
Control Valve & Spool Troubleshooting
Sluggish controls, sticking joysticks, or erratic attachment response. We diagnose main relief valves, secondary port reliefs, pilot control circuits, and solenoid-operated directional valves.
- Main and port relief pressure adjustments
- Pilot control pressure troubleshooting
- Spool seal replacement & external leak repair
Pump Testing & Drive Motors
Loss of machine speed when oil warms up, whining gear pumps, or hydrostatic drive motor weak on one side. We perform flow and pressure diagnostics to determine if the pump has failed internally.
- Pressure testing at working RPM and load
- Suction strainer cleaning & cavitation diagnosis
- Hydraulic fluid contamination & filter inspection
Service Truck Crane Power for Large Cylinders
Large excavator boom cylinders and loader lift arms can weigh hundreds of pounds. Our mobile service truck is outfitted with a heavy-duty Auto Crane, allowing us to rig, secure, and hoist heavy cylinder assemblies and pump packages directly at your job site without requiring a second machine.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you repack a leaking cylinder on-site or does it have to be removed? expand_more
Depending on machine accessibility, rod condition, and job site environment, many cylinders can have the gland nut pulled and seals replaced right on the machine. If the rod requires shop polishing or hone work, we use our crane to unpin and pull the cylinder safely.
Why is my equipment slow only after it warms up? expand_more
As hydraulic fluid reaches operating temperature, viscosity drops. If a pump or cylinder has internal scoring or worn wear plates, oil bypasses internally instead of building pressure. We connect pressure gauges on-site to pinpoint whether the pump, relief valve, or cylinder is at fault.
Do you service hydraulic systems on agricultural tractors? expand_more
Yes! We work on tractor remotes, 3-point hitch hydraulics, loader attachments, and hydrostatic steering on farms throughout Central, Southern, and Eastern Kentucky.
Have a Hydraulic Leak or Pressure Failure?
